Dr. StraussElton Strauss, MD, FACS is committed to excellence by providing the highest quality of orthopaedic care. Along with the treatment of immediate or chronic problems, Dr. Strauss strives to integrate the doctrine of prevention in all his treatments as a way to alleviate future difficulties.

Elton Strauss, MD FACS is associate professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Geriatrics at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He is the Chief of Adult Reconstructive Surgery and Orthopaedic Trauma at the Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Strauss performs primary and revision joint reconstruction of the lower extremity. He is an international and national speaker on the complexities of revision arthroplasty. His practice consists of the most complex reconstructions.

In the field of research he has worked on the development of the acetabular hip prosthesis. He has devoted many hours on the final product of Tritanium cup replacement.

As an advocate of the geriatric patient, he has written and spoken extensively on primary arthroplasty for complex fractures of the knee and hip. He is part of the research team for prosthetic replacement of periprosthetic fractures as well as primary replacement for fractures.
